Hand blown glass dragonfly Christmas ornament is a delightful collectible crystal figurine and suncatcher. Tree ornament is by artist Prochaska, Disneyland glass blower for 10 years. This delightful dragonfly, with brightly colored eyes of cut crystal, is a charming Christmas tree ornament or can be displayed all year long as a window decoration and sun catcher. Weight being a primary concern, I make the dragonfly of lightweight borosilicate crystal. The brilliant rainbow of colors is created when I apply pure gold to the glass while it is still molten. Hanging from a shimmering metallic gold thread, the ornament has a wingspan of 3.5 inches and is 3 inches long. Your purchase includes an attractive information card trimmed with gold foil. Christmas ornaments are one of my specialties and during the Reagan administration I was asked to create an assortment of one-of-a-kind ornaments that represented the state of California at the White House.
